Hello and welcome to my blog!
My name is Jon, an IT professional with an interest in technology and how it shapes our world. I have been thinking about writing a blog for a while; I often come across blogs with tips, tricks and fixes that have helped me a great deal in my career. The way I see it, if even a single person reads one of these posts and it helps them fix something, it was a worthwhile endeavour creating it.
In my day-to-day, I work extensively with ServiceNow – a leading digital workflow company. I have a background in ITIL after working as an engineer for many years and primarily used ServiceNow as an ITSM tool, but it quickly became apparent how useful it is for streamlining operational processes and integration with various third party tools (amongst other things).
In addition to my work with ServiceNow, I’m intrigued by cryptocurrency and financial markets, though I acknowledge there’s a lot to explore in these areas! The concept of creating code to bring objectivity to the buying and selling process has been of particular interest; I have been experimenting with TradingView’s scripting engine to achieve this.
If I create anything worthwhile along the way, I’ll share it on this blog.
